Malsis is set in forty acres of its own grounds in a beautiful part of North Yorkshire near Skipton, Ilkley and Keighley, but also within easy reach of many other northern towns, the national motorway system and only 15 miles from Leeds Bradford Airport.
Receptions, taking the form of hot sit down meals or buffets can take place at
Malsis during the school's summer holiday period, either in the main building
(maximum 90 guests) or in a marquee on the croquet lawn (unlimited number of
guests).
Receptions in the main building
There are two principal rooms which can
used in the main building for receptions up to a maximum of ninety guests. One
is the Library which we recommend is used for the initial reception of yours
guests where drinks and canapés can be offered,
but obviously weather permitting you may wish to do this on the lawn in front
of the main entrance. The main wedding breakfast can then be offered in the Study
(see pictures on right) which is directly across the hallway from the Library
If you wish to follow the wedding breakfast with music, entertainment and dancing
we again recommend that the Library is best suited to this. If a bar is required
then this is best situated in the main Hallway giving easy access from both the
study and the Library.
Receptions

A marquee can be erected on the croquet lawn directly in front of the main building.
This can be for an unlimited number. The internal layout of the marquee can be
customised to meet your particular requirements with regard to table arrangements,
stage, dance floor, bar and reception areas etc.
All necessary entertainment and
liquor licenses will be in place for your function and are included in the cost.
Malsis
has ample car parking and there is no extra charge for the use of this facility.

Marquee on the Lawn
Full day use (8:30am until midnight) of the lawn for the erection of a marquee,
up to 50' x 100' (approx 400 guests) £1,500.
